The Soviet Union had motives that did not agree with what the United States had wanted. The Soviet Union wanted to be able to expand its governmental system, which is communism, and to get the world to think like them. The United States has noticed the Soviet Union expanding its governmental system, and it did not want to let communism reach them. The Unites States has made many videos and advertisements that show the benefits of capitalism, and the disadvantages of communism. These propagandas were released into the public, persuading many of the disadvantages of communism. Despite that, the Soviet Union had taken most of the land from the Iron Curtain. This land was undeniably under the influence of communism, and that made the United States resentful. That is when the Truman Doctrine was delivered. After the Truman Doctrine, it has changed the way the United States was perceived, and gave the US more power to fight with, whether with militarily, economically, or politically. Despite that, the Soviet Union kept trying to expand the well-known governmental system.
